Laura Burkhart Laurie

Assistant State Attorney Laura Burkhart Laurie (B.S., Management), chief of traffic homicide and felony trial units in Palm Beach County for State Attorney Dave Aronberg, has been appointed to the circuit judicial bench by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. A resident of Lake Worth, she joined the state attorney’s office in 2007 after graduating from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Laurie was among two county court judges and six attorneys recommended for the posts by a local judicial nominating commission.
