1 - minute read

FGCU Athletics invites you to celebrate the achievements of female student-athletes at the annual Wings Up Women Networking Night at 6 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Alico Arena Hospitality Suite.

Wings Up Women was created to give FGCU’s student-athletes the opportunity to connect with community members, professional leaders and representatives from the health and fitness, public relations, university services, business and technical services fields.

Admission is $10 and includes refreshments and a ticket to the volleyball match at 7 p.m. against Bethune-Cookman. For reservations, contact interim Wings Up Women Chairwoman Kelly Jean Brock at 239-590-1492.

Wings Up Women was established in 2014 to serve raise funds to reach and sustain NCAA full-scholarship limits for each of the Eagles’ nine women’s teams. Wings Up Women has also held luncheons each of the past two springs.

“We are very excited to enter another year of the Wings Up Women initiative supporting our female student-athletes,” said Brock, Assistant AD & Director of the Student-Athlete Learning Center. “This group provides financial and professional resources specifically targeting our women’s teams. Last year’s event was met with high reviews, so we anticipate another great turnout for the event.”
