The skate life: Keep pushing

Skateboards are transportation, recreation, an art form and a social outlet – and they are wildly popular among FGCU Eagles. Here’s how Tim Murphy, a senior communication major from Coral Springs, explains it: “The thing I love about skateboarding is that it is a very individualistic creative outlet but also you are part of a larger community and can have a friend almost anywhere you go. This board is special to me because I have had it since the beginning of freshman year and I use it to get around campus every day. It’s been a big part of the great experience I have had at FGCU.”
