Florida Gulf Coast University is asking alumni and other supporters to get into the swing of giving this spring by pledging a gift to the university on FGCU Give Day, Tuesday, April 26.
The one-day fundraiser is an effort to build enthusiasm and giving among the growing alumni base as well as faculty, staff and the many members of the community with ties to the university. Pledges can be made online at Give2FGCU.com.
“As a Florida Gulf Coast University alumna, I am honored to be an ambassador to the first ever Give Day,” said Caroline Glenn Thomas, ‘06. “I’m looking forward to raising awareness of The FGCU Effect by celebrating and highlighting philanthropic accomplishments.”
For nearly 20 years, FGCU has made an indelible impact upon Southwest Florida, providing educational opportunities, conducting meaningful research and serving as an economic and cultural hub for the region.
The Faramo family is a prime example of why the university is so important to Southwest Florida.
“With eight family members graduating from FGCU (some with multiple degrees), we all appreciate the commitment FGCU has made to addressing the educational needs of the rapidly growing Southwest Florida population,” said Jeff Faramo.
Contributions of any size are welcome and will help students achieve success. Wear blue, give green and show your pride in FGCU by giving on Tuesday, April 26.
