Exhibit showcases ASG Technologies’ gift of art

The Art Galleries of the Bower School of Music and the Arts present “Latitudes and Longitudes: ASG Technologies’ Gift to FGCU Art Galleries” Oct. 13-Nov. 17. The exhibition represents a portion of the work recently donated to the galleries by ASG Technologies and will be exhibited in the ArtLab Gallery and the FGCU Library study area.

An opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Oct. 13 in ArtLab.

ASG Technologies is a global software products provider enabling technology solutions from legacy to leading-edge environments in today’s enterprise. Headquartered in Naples, the company recently donated more than 80 artworks to FGCU. This gift compliments the Art Galleries’ growing collection of internationally recognized contemporary artists. Joseph Albers, Ilya Bolotowsky, John Buck and Judith Murray are a few of the artists represented in the gift. The works are diverse in the mediums represented, which include painting, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media sculpture and fiber arts, and will be of particular use to FGCU students in their studio research and understanding of art and visual culture.

ArtLab is at the west side of the Library building on FGCU’s main campus at 10501 FGCU Blvd. S. Parking is available in Lot 7 for gallery visitors; parking passes are available at the information booth at the university’s main entrance. Regular viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
