Sean O’Grady, (Secondary Social Science Ed), and his wife, Jennifer, welcomed baby girl, Adilynn Mae, on Jan. 1. She weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 inches long. Adilynn Mae was also the first Lee County baby born in 2019.

Jason Chang, (Finance), joined Frey & Son Homes as its new sales director for Collier County. He will be responsible for managing a team of professionals as they sell custom luxury homes in Naples, Bonita Springs and Marco Island.
Marie Grasmeier, (Master’s, Accounting and Taxation), signed a book deal with Smart Hustle Agency & Publishing, LP. In her chapter, she will discuss tax benefits and tax ramifications for real estate investors. She is one of 18 women professionals contributing to the book that highlights the team members necessary to successfully invest in real estate. She is also the founder of Grasmeier Business Consulting in Fort Myers.
Greg Hoffert, (Master’s, Business Administration), was hired as the digital marketing manager for Priority Marketing in Fort Myers. He will be responsible for developing marketing solutions to help clients reach new and current customers.
Matt Brame, (Management), accepted the position of retail market manager at Synovus. He will be responsible for growing deposits and loans for small business and consumer banking.
Brian Chapman, Jr., (Management), was awarded the 2019 Power Players Professional Advisor Award by the Cape Coral Community Foundation. He is the owner of Chapman Insurance Group, which has several locations in Southwest Florida.
Melissa Hansen, (Marketing), was selected as the 2018 Membership Directors’ Association of Southwest Florida “Member of the Year” awardee.
Joel J.C. Powless, (Liberal Studies), has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court as a resident circuit judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit. He served as Clay County State’s Attorney since 2016, and prior to that worked in private practice and served as a municipal hearing officer in Flora, IL.
Celeste Lynch, (Master’s, Geriatric Recreational Therapy), was named director of resident services at The Terraces of Bonita Springs. She oversees the independent living resident experience.
Casey Gartland, (Criminal Forensic Studies), was awarded the AVVO Clients’ Choice Award for 2018. He lives in Tampa.
Tim Offermann, (Master’s, Business Administration), was hired by Adform as its enterprise sales director. Adform operates globally and is an advertising technology company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He lives in Germany.
David Allen, (Management), has been hired by Gasparilla Island State Park as a park ranger. He is responsible for the physical upkeep and maintenance of the park, as well as submitting the park fees to administration. He will be splitting his days between Gasparilla Island State Park and Stump Pass State Park until a replacement can be found for his position at Stump Pass.
Craig Harrington, (Master’s, Accounting and Taxation), was elected secretary of the Friends of Foster Children Forever board of directors. He lives in Naples.
Sherry Nagle, (Nursing), has joined Physicians’ Primary Care of SWFL as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP). She will assist family practice physicians at the Fort Myers Family Practice office on College Parkway.
