Nadege Borgat, (Marketing) and Don Borgat, ’14 (Accounting), welcomed a baby girl, Zoey Hope, in December. She was 7 pounds, 12 ounces. They have two other children, Malik Levert (9 years old) and Ethan Xavier (2 years old). They live in Cape Coral.

Michael McCabe, (English), was elected stockholder at the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes, & Holt. He will represent insurance carriers, third party administrators, and employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. He lives in Fort Myers.

Bruce Michael Barone, Jr., (History), was named executive director of the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District in Naples. The mission is to brand, promote and create awareness of the district by residents and visitors.
Brooke Przespolewski, (Elementary Education), was awarded the Golden Apple Teacher Award by Lee County Public Schools. She is a kindergarten teacher at Gulf Elementary School in Cape Coral, where she resides.
Amanda Beights, (Master’s, Curriculum and Instruction), was announced as the first “Ooh La La Legacy Lady” of the 2018 season by Ooh La La Jewels Du Jour. This program celebrates women who leave a lasting legacy in the community. She is an experienced educator and is the vice president of the Leadership Collier Foundation. She lives in Naples.
Darren Davis, (Communication), was elected president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He is in his seventh year serving on the organization’s board. He lives in Naples.
Dale Moeller, (Resort & Hospitality Management), was named general manager at The Club at Barefoot Beach. He began his career as a student intern with The Club at Barefoot Beach in 2006 while attending FGCU. He also serves on FGCU’s Advisory Board for Resort & Hospitality Management. He lives in Fort Myers with his wife and daughter.
Stacy Sewell, (Marketing), was promoted to vice president of marketing at Bella Collina in Montverde. She will oversee the marketing of Bella Collina’s real estate endeavors.
Kylee Brinkman, (Resort & Hospitality Management), recently opened the second location of The Bowl in downtown Naples. The Bowl offers healthy, organic fruit bowls and smoothies. She started the business by selling her organic fruit bowls and smoothies at local farmers’ markets in Southwest Florida.
Amy Novakovich, (Finance), was named chair of the Board of Directors for the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida, Inc. She is also the co-founder of Nova Wealth Management. She lives in Bonita Springs.
Brooke Sweat, (Resort & Hospitality Management), received a bronze medal in a Fort Lauderdale sand volleyball tournament in March. She travels around the world playing beach volleyball professionally and was also a 2016 U.S. Olympian. She lives in Estero.
William Snyder, (Criminal Justice Studies), has been re-appointed as the sheriff of Martin County by Gov. Rick Scott, for a term ending in June 2019. He lives in Stuart.
Meg Schaap, (Art), created a portrait that depicted Marie Antoinette as a young woman. It will be featured in Touchstone Gallery’s exhibition. Her art pieces are in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United States. She lives in Potomac, Md.
Douglas Stevens, (Health Science), was named as branch operations manager- escrow officer at Stewart Title Company. He lives in Fort Myers.
Rachel Keesling, (Master’s, Educational Technology), was named president of the Southwest Florida League of Cities. She is also the mayor of Punta Gorda, where she lives.
Patrick McQuillan, (Master’s, Public Administration), was named director of major gifts for Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. He was previously the director of development for NCH Healthcare Foundation in Naples. He lives in Sarasota.
David Blue, (Resort & Hospitality Management), joined 7Summits as senior vice president of sales. 7Summits is a full service communications agency. He lives in Milwaukee, Wisc.

Tiffany Esposito, (Master’s, Business Administration), has been announced as 2018’s Woman of the Year by the Zonta Club of Bonita Springs-Estero. She is the president and CEO of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and leads the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Developmental Council. She lives in Fort Myers.
