Nancy Acevedo, (Legal Studies), was named Counselor of the Year at Abuse Counseling and Treatment (ACT) of Hendry County. She is working toward her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health at FGCU while she continues to work as a counselor. She lives in LaBelle.

Angelica Addeo, (Resort & Hospitality Management), recently joined Boca West Children’s Foundation as their event and development coordinator in Boca Raton, FL.

Robert Algoo, (Engineering), Congratulations to the following engineering graduates who recently passed the “PE Exam” (Professional Engineer Exam). They may now add the designation “PE” after their name, indicating that they are professional engineers.

Madison Allen, (Sociology), has joined the firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., in Fort Myers as an attorney in its Tort & Insurance Litigation Department. She will focus her practice in premises liability, construction litigation, personal injury defense, intellectual property and insurance coverage issues.

David Allen, (Management), has been hired by Gasparilla Island State Park as a park ranger. He is responsible for the physical upkeep and maintenance of the park, as well as submitting the park fees to administration. He will be splitting his days between Gasparilla Island State Park and Stump Pass State Park until a replacement can be found for his position at Stump Pass.

David Alpert, (Communication), recently joined ITVantage as its new sales director. He will be responsible for developing new business and customizing technology solutions to meet customer needs. He lives in Estero.

Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co. member Alisha Angeloff (M.S. Accounting & Taxation) has earned her Certified Public Accountant license. Alisha is a tax supervisor at the firm, adding her CPA license to a list of accomplishments including being a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor.

Kristen Bachmeier, (Marketing), was appointed to serve on the marketing advisory board for the Lutgert College of Business. She is employed by Atilus as director of operations. She lives in Fort Myers.

Joshua Ballin (Integrated Studies) has promoted senior sales executive at Prudential Financial and will be relocating to Tampa.

Haley Ballot, (Resort & Hospitality Management), was hired by AA Metals, Inc. as an inside sales representative in Orlando.

Annie Banion, (Communication), has joined the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau as its new communications specialist.  She assists in the promotion of The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel as a visitor destination. She lives in Fort Myers.

Nina Barbero, (Economics), earned her Certified Guest Service Professional designation from the Lee County Tourist Development Council. The program covers customer service skills, handling conflicts and is recognized by hospitality professionals internationally.

Alexis Barkis, (Legal Studies), has been appointed to the labor and employment group of Quarles & Brady in Naples. She will represent employers of all sizes across a wide range of industries with issues involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and fair employment and anti-discrimination issues.
