Forums scheduled for input on presidential search

1 - minute read

The FGCU Presidential Search Advisory Committee and executive search firm Witt/Kieffer will hold forums Aug. 22 and 23 on campus for students, faculty, staff and the community.

Designed as an opportunity to solicit input on the search, the forum discussions will be based on questions in the presidential search online survey and will be led by Witt/Kieffer representatives. Questions address key characteristics and qualifications that FGCU’s next president should have, where the university be after five years under the next president’s leadership and other topics.

On Monday, Aug. 22, the faculty forum will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and a student forum is from 6 to 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, Aug. 23, a community forum is 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. and a staff forum is noon to 1 p.m.

Students, faculty and staff who are unable to attend their designated session are welcome to attend the community forum.

All sessions will be held in the Cohen Center ballroom on the second floor. Community members should stop at the parking booth at the main campus entrance for a visitor’s pass and will be directed to Parking Garage #1 adjacent to the Cohen Center. Click to view and download a campus map.

The online survey for the search is open through Sept. 1.

The FGCU Board of Trustees will select a new president, with input from the advisory committee, to succeed Wilson G. Bradshaw on his June 30, 2017 retirement. Trustees are scheduled to name the next president Dec. 9, subject to approval by the Florida State University System Board of Governors.

Updates and meeting information related to the search are available online.
