The FGCU Effect comes to life in mural

1 - minute read

The FGCU Effect campaign already has made a splash regionally on billboards and television spots, but it really hit home with last week’s unveiling of a large, interactive mural inspired by students who, in turn, have been inspired by The FGCU Effect.

The mural project began when Victoria Matthews, a junior marketing major, got the ball rolling in March when she enlisted sophomore engineering major Bret Munson to get the framework assembled and ready for the artistic touches.

Next up were sophomore Luke Lamos, who created the mural’s design, and junior Taylor Power, who joined Lamos in painting the artwork. Once finished, the artwork can be moved around campus or outside the university for greater exposure.
