Artist talk and opening reception for “Mally Khorasantchi: Recent Paintings 2019” (Feb. 21-March 28)
Mally Khorasantchi’s (Naples, FL) large-scale paintings incorporate elements from personal history and social commentary. With no horizon lines or perspective to give order or focus and using both bold and delicately painted abstracted symbols, lines and shapes, she seeks to convey the chaos and order found in nature and of things manmade. She is interested in the juxtapositions of rhythm and remnant, intellect and emotion, beauty and discord, and invites multiple interpretations based on individual experience and memory.
