FGCU Athletics is collecting packaged food donations at all Eagles’ home events through the end of April as part of its signature #FEEDFGCU campaign. Last November’s food drive netted 472 pounds of canned and boxed items.
This is the fourth consecutive year for the campaign, which benefits the Campus Food Pantry, a service that helps enrolled students who cannot afford enough food.
Eaglessoftball, tennis, baseball and beach volleyball fans will have the opportunity to bring donations to 22 home eventsbefore the month is over.Boxes will be set up at the marketing tables upon entry into each venue.
FGCU hopes to be the top-donating university in the Atlantic Sun Conference and is encouraging the use of #FEEDFGCU on social media to promote the cause.
