Young professionals raise money for scholarships

1 - minute read

Young professionals in Southwest Florida are invited to a fundraising ball to benefit Florida Gulf Coast University students who have overcome major life obstacles.

The Great Gatsby Gala will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 7 p.m. until midnight at The Knickerbocker of Naples, 2225 23rd St. S.W., Naples. In addition to raising funds for the FGCU Foundation’s Dr. Bart S. and Peggy I. Cuderman Endowed Scholarship, the event will include the presentation of a Young Professional of the Year Award.

“We couldn’t find another fundraising event specifically geared toward the growing ranks of young professionals in Southwest Florida, so we decided to start one,” says Peter Cuderman, president of Pegasus Painting and the sponsorship chairman of the 28-member gala hosting committee. “Many of the fundraising events in Naples are priced out of reach for young professionals.”

Gala tickets are $125 if purchased before Oct.15 or $150 through Oct. 22.

Cuderman earned a bachelor’s degree in legal studies in 2011 and an MBA in 2013 at FGCU.
